1. The taxies are just waiting outside the EXIT of the airport.
2. We have prepared a map indicating how to go to the NAOC from the
airport. You'll find it on the webpage. We suggest that you print
it out and carry it with you, and show the taxi driver, he/she
will understand immediately.
3. The price for taxies. The taxies are indeed quite inexpensive in
Beijing. There are normally 3 types of taxies
(1) 2.00 RMB per km. 10 RMB for the first 3 km, 2.00 per km for
within the 15th km, and 3.00 per km for the 15th km and beyond.
(2) 1.60 RMB per km. 10 RMB for the first 3 km, 1.60 per km for
within the 15th km, and 2.40 per km for the 15th km and beyond.
(3) 1.20 RMB per km. 10 RMB for the first 4 km, 1.20 per km for
within the 15th km, and 1.80 per km for the 15th km and beyond.
You can only find the first 2 types in the airport, and in the city
you can also find type (3). Types (3) and (2) are very popular in
Beijing.
3. About taxi fare. The airport is about 30 km from the NAOC. It
takes
about 80 RMB to get to NAOC for the 1.60 taxi, including the toll
fee (passengers are expected to pay the toll fee which is 15 RMB).
